Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Mayowa O. George ("I", "me", or "my"), operating this website on behalf of Soft-Web Digital, collects when you use this site, and what I do with it. If anything here is unclear, email me at hello@mayowaogeorge.com and I'll clarify.

1. Information I collect

I collect information in a few specific ways:

• When you contact me, through the contact form, a strategy session booking, or a service questionnaire, I collect your name, email address, and whatever details you choose to share about your project, budget, or timeline.
• When you join the newsletter, including unlocking a free resource, I collect your name and email address and add you to my mailing list.
• When you browse the site, standard technical information is logged automatically by the hosting provider (Vercel), such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. I don't use this for tracking or advertising.
• Cookies. This site uses a small number of cookies: one to remember your theme preference (light, dark, or system), and one to recognize that you've already unlocked a free resource on this device so you're not asked again. Neither is used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

2. How I use your information

I use the information collected to:

• Respond to enquiries, questionnaires, and strategy session requests
• Send newsletter emails, if you've subscribed, with product and business content
• Improve the site and the resources I publish on it
• Meet legal and accounting obligations

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Where your data is stored

Submitted data is stored in a MongoDB Atlas database. Email notifications for submissions are sent via Resend. Both providers process data on my behalf under their own security and privacy commitments, and I've chosen providers with reasonable data-protection practices.

4. Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Ask what personal data I hold about you
• Ask me to correct inaccurate data
• Ask me to delete your data, including unsubscribing from the newsletter
• Withdraw consent for future contact

To exercise any of these, email hello@mayowaogeorge.com and I'll act on it within a reasonable time. Every newsletter email also includes an unsubscribe link you can use directly.

5. Data retention

I keep contact form and questionnaire submissions for as long as needed to respond to them and for a reasonable period afterward for business records. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.

6. Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

7. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy occasionally, for example as the site adds new features. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
